Birthday Mania!

The first week of September is a busy birthday week!  Both Owen and our buddy Ethan have their birthdays on the 5th, Owen being exactly one year older than Ethan!  Saturday we went to Ethan's party, and today we had Deja Vu at Owen's party!  Here are some pics from Owen's party (I forgot to take pictures at Ethan's!)

Carter getting some yums!  His bib says, "Chicks Dig Me!"
Pinata time!
Followed by birthday cake, of course.
It was a beautiful day!
The best part was the Pirates of the Caribbean Jumping Castle.  It had a slide and everything!  At Ethan's party they had the same castle, but it was Batman!  Now of course, Riley wants to know if we can have one for his birthday in March...I think it would take up our entire back yard!

Steve couldn't resist getting in with the kids!

Dog-pile!  Watch your parts, Steve!
Three boys, full of beans!
I love that E-Dog is stealthily posing for the picture too!
Carter's little man jeans!  The shirt is the same shirt Riley wore for his first pictures.  I didn't get the cute shoes he was wearing, which Taylor Welling picked out for him!  I'll try to get them next time!
That is one tuckered out 3 year old!

Me and my Boys!

Just a fun pic from Saturday night.  I love my boys!!!

Fall Soccer Begins!

I LOVE Preschool soccer.  If you want to see pure joy and fun for the sake of fun, come to a preschool soccer game!  They have no idea what they're doing, but it's a blast!  And that's all that matters, really!

Fall soccer started on Saturday, and Riley is on the same team as Ty and Tanner.  So exciting!  The boys could hardly contain themselves!  For our first game, we played against two other kiddos from Bright Horizons, Leila and Thomas.  The kids had so much fun!

Below, Coach Jason gives the kids a pep talk before practice.
One of the twins playing "anatomy ball."  The kids had to dribble the ball around, and then coach would tell them to stop and put a certain body part on the ball.  It was hilarious!
Do you think Riley was enjoying himself????
Kickoff!
At one point, Riley just decided to chase Thomas (on the other team) around in a bear crawl.  Had nothing to do with soccer.  Again, hilarious.
Towards the end of the game the coaches gave up just having 4 kids on the field at a time from each team, and everyone got to play.  It was a free for all!
Too much fun!

Bliss!

Some pics of Carter from this week!  But the big news is, I swear he smiled a real smile at me this morning!  We were just chilling on the couch and I looked down and said hi to him and he looked up at me with a big dimpl-ey smile! Melt!!  He's making more eye contact and loves to watch the CU Buffs fight song mobile when he gets his diaper changed!

Second Annual Farish Weekend!

Over Labor Day weekend we headed up to Farish for our second family gathering with the Soriano's, Marsh's, and assorted adoptees!  It was a beautiful mountain getaway, and we had a blast as usual.  The fishing left a bit to be desired, although Team Grandpa was victorious with 3 catches.  They also retained their title as Horseshoe champions!  The rest of the gang better start practicing now for next year!

The pictures below aren't completely in order, but you get the idea!
General caught the first fish, and Riley and Owen got to help reel it in!
Grandparents and Grandkids!

The "No-Tho" gang came up!  Last year just Charline made it, but this year we got all the friends in on the action!
General and Mr. Carter!
Actually a decent picture of me!  Weird.
BFFs!
The Marsh Boys.  Brad had to play horseshoes left-handed, so he got handicap points.
Hanging out by the campfire was great!  Riley loves marshmallows!
As I said, the pics aren't in order...this was after paddleboating, just hanging out by the lake!
Ric Mungo, Dad, and Steve share a cocktail.  Mr. Mungo runs Farish, and he is a fantastic host!

Ric with Buddy Turbo, who is a dog model!  Check out his shirt...too much!
I don't know who let Rick and Brad wear those ugly CSU shirts...oh well, CU was victorious again!!
Just chillin'
Intrepid fisherman!
Discussing the finer points of trout fishing
Brandon on a rock.  I think he kinda looks like Kermit the Frog sitting out there all alone!
3 Cousins....3 more coming soon!
An evening Scotch.
Awww...cute.  I'm sad that there are no pictures of Steve and I from the weekend.  We were so busy chasing after the little boys, we didn't even get a chance to take a pic of us!
Go Buffs!
Paddleboating is serious business!
What a gorgeous day!
King-a-lings!
Steve got roped into riding with the Lanes while I rode with Brad and the little boys.
I'm pretty sure we broke most of these rules...
Role reversal!
Ridin' in Bubba's truck!
Grandma and Carter
I love this picture.
And this one too!
Another great weekend with family and friends!!!
