Riley's 4th Birthday Party

Riley wanted a Knights birthday party this year...I thought it would be easy to find the gear, but I was wrong!  That's ok, though, I had a blast getting creative with it.  Here are a TON of pictures of the festivities...

I made some shields for the boys and ordered inflatable swords.  I had this grand idea that I could get a pic of all the "knights and ladies" with their gear, but not one child stood still for the entire party.
Hats and accessories for the little princesses!
Princess Bayley arrived in her gown...5 minutes later she was in jeans, ready to rumble in the jumpy castle!
Kourtney and Jason brought Lady Holly for her first birthday party!  She is beautiful!
Grandma with Payton and Carter
Here is the castle!  It barely fit in our yard.  The kids LOVED it!  I was freaking out the day before because it had been 75 degrees all week, but forecasted to be freezing cold and snowy for Saturday.  Thank goodness Kathy Sabine was wrong!  It was chilly, but still sunny and beautiful out.
Gabriel, wielding his sword.
Here comes Elle!  Look at that face!
Woah!
Ok...speechless.  Maybe my mind is in the gutter...but I wasn't the only one who found this disturbing!!
Steve, under attack!
Bayley and Riley...not sure what's going on here...
Riley and Vaughn
Steve was tossing the kids down the slide!
The inflatable swords were great...all the action, none of the injuries!
The cake design was a scan of the invitations.
Happy Birthday big guy!
Ethan, Ri and Owen
Ty and Bayley
Little Lady Lilly in her beautiful gown!
Tanner
Got a little something on your face, O!
Present time!
He's not shy...
Nice face!
The Queen Mothers.  We were sad that General couldn't be there, he was in DC for meetings that he couldn't get out of. He was way bummed!
Owen, Carter and Bubs.
Playing with the ABC and 123 book Owen gave Riley
Cute!
I challenged Steve to do a flip in the castle after most of the kids had left.  It went well...but he's quite sore today!  Be sure to check out the video!
Plumber crack!
Here goes...

TaeKwonDo Videos

Here are a few videos from a recent TKD class.  The first one is the class warming up.  Riley is the one farthest on the left.  Although he is at least a year younger than the next youngest kiddo in the class, he's as big as the oldest students in the class, who are 6!

The second video is Riley doing the skill they were working on: Memory.  During each class they work on a different concept or skill, and can earn a stripe for their belt if they do well.  So far Riley has earned stripes for Teamwork, Focus, Coordination, Balance, Memory, Great Effort, Excellent Form, and  Excellent Punch.  In the video, he had to remember a "password," then jump over the belt.

Riley is just loving TaeKwonDo, and can't wait for Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Last Basketball Game of the Season

Today was Riley and Steve's last basketball game of the season.  We actually had a double-header...a bit much for 3 and 4 year olds, but they did a great job!  We sure had fun watching the progress the kiddos made with basic basketball skills.  They were super cute and worked so hard!

Below: Carter can't wait to get on the court!
Doing some dribbling drills.
Passing out goody bags and trophies at the end of the game.
Coach Steve and team captain Riley!
The kids all had a blast!
