Rocktober Sweeps!

After going to the Wild Card game, we decided that we brought the Rockies a little luck. So we went to the last game of the Rockies-Phillies Division Series, which the Rockies won, sweeping the Phillies and moving on to the Conference Series. Steve surprised me by asking Charline to babysit Riley and treated me to a date night. It was great!

I think this is Kazuo Matsui up at bat

Victory!
And since that went so well, we decided we HAD to go to the fourth game of the Rockies-Diamondbacks game to make sure they swept them too and headed for the WORLD SERIES! Mary and Doug joined us in section 347, which is the edge of the world inside Coors Field. It was awesome! The playoff atmosphere was supercharged, and after the win it was over the top! I haven't seen partying like that since the Avalanche won the Stanley Cup.

Doug is a CRAZY baseball fan!

Here we are! Smoke from the fireworks in the distance.

Hey Sawx fan, even we can't get tickets, seems they had NO IDEA they'd get 8.5 million hits in the first 90 minutes of online sales, and the whole system crashed! Nice. BTW, I know who you are, and I just have to ask...is your fly up??

HA!!! Wait, shouldn't you have been teaching instead of blogging??? Or at least protecting the school from a very large dog?

Asian Silk protects the school by speaking to the large dogs in her native language, thus confusing them so that Kitty Flicka can run up and beat them about the head and shoulders with a meat baster. It's very mysterious and kung fu-like.

We can't seem to get that NC fan out here for the Series.Must be afraid of the big dogs around here.

I'm fearless with Asian Silk and Kitty Flicka protecting me.

I'm having a stroke laughing...I think I pee'd a little.

We are especially adept at policing and protecting book fairs from large canines.

I think the unzipped fly is catchy...mine was down today for about an hour after lunch...but unlike some, I wear underpants, so it was tough to recognize there was a breeze.

I hear from Brandon Lane that conducting the Summit Singers with your fly down is the new big thing. I wonder if he has a new work wife to make sure his fly is up before he teaches the richy richies at that fancy school?

Hey Sawx fan, is this ticket mishap karma? Have we angered the baseball gods with all our talk about book fairs, hooters and large dogs? Cuz we're getting our arses handed to us in a big way. Ouch.
