Musings

Just looking at my first post this month, and my most recent post, added to the fact that little baby Marsh has been especially active today, has got me thinking...  I'm reminded of the song by The Byrds, based on Ecclesiastes 3, "Turn! Turn! Turn!."  Life is truly made up of seasons.  It seems that every joyous occasion and sorrowful occasion are linked.

Back on June 4, 2004, my cousin Renee passed away from cancer.  A few weeks later, I became pregnant with Riley.  I've always thought that Renee has been his guardian angel because of her consuming love for children.  Very shortly before Riley was born, Steve's Grandma passed away as well.  One life journey ends and another begins.

Last year,  we lost both Granny and Papa within 4 months of each other, and in between  those losses Keith and Holli celebrated their wedding.  Throughout that whole time, my cousin Michelle was the next of the cousins to be pregnant, with Sarah Renee.  Joy and sorrow, loss and celebration.

And now, within a 3 week time span, we've attended the most amazing wedding of Marla and Mark, and the sudden and unforeseen funeral of my Aunt Blez.  There was a time when we didn't even know if Marla would live or die, and here she is, so in love and so full of life.  What a miracle.  And Aunt Blez, who had recently become an amazingly vibrant version of herself, exploring new interests and blossoming, leaving us so unexpectedly and with so many questions.  I know she, along with all of our loved ones who have gone before us, are watching over all of us, and over Baby especially, now.

As I said before, I just want everyone to know how much they are appreciated and loved by the Marsh Fam.  We are so very blessed to have so many incredible people in our lives, and we are made richer and better people for knowing you.

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time to build up,a time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones, a time to gather stones together

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace, a time to refrain from embracing

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sew
A time to love, a time to hate
A time for peace, I swear its not too late
