Second Annual Marsh/Evans/Asnicar zoo trip!

We headed to the zoo for another wild adventure with the Evans and Asnicar families!  Last year we had the wagon train, but this year they were too big to do that!  It was a little bit like herding cats, but they had a blast!

There always seem to be baby giraffes at the zoo...
There are lots of peacocks running around the zoo.  They like to lurk around the picnic areas.  This guy was showing off for a crowd of people.
I couldn't help myself....they're building a new pachyderm exhibit called "Asian Tropics."  I got your Asian Tropics right here!
Taking a snack break!
Checking out the pachyderm show.  This is the cutest picture.  It's hard to believe they're all so big, I remember them all being in the Little Sprouts class together when they were 5-6 months old!
Carter enjoyed the zoo too!
I LOVE this bear.  He was literally just hanging out!  So cute!!!
The grizzly is awfully cute as well!
Cotton candy time!
We like the drums in the Primate exhibit.  I also really love Bayley's tiara!
Another fun outing with our buddies!

Little Dragons Yellow Belt!

In February Riley started TaeKwonDo.  He's in the "Little Dragons" program for 4-6 year olds.  We have been so pleased with everything that he has done!  Master Michael is wonderful with the kids, and works on everything from fitness to teamwork to coordination and respect with them.  Riley tested for his Yellow Belt a few weeks ago...

Getting ready for testing
Warming up
Flexibility and fitness
Teamwork
Focus, fitness and memory
And finally, breaking a board!

New little yellow belt!

What a tough guy!

Check out the video of Riley breaking his board!

Dinner at the new Casa Lane!

Brandon and Laura moved into a fab little place down in Denver, and invited the gang over for one of Brandon's gourmet dinners to christen the place.  It's a very unique place with amazing details and character!  Totally fits the Lanes!

Some pics of our best friends on a great night!
Laura and their new dog, Woodrow Wilson Jorge Pancake, Jr. (Woody for short)
Another goofy self portrait
So, the Lane's new place is off of Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., sorta close to the 'hood.  So of course there was a large amount of teasing.  Steve took his 40 out to the bus stop in front of their house...
Zach, enjoying dinner!
Familia Lane
An even goofier self portrait!
Charline, admiring the fixtures
This weird German game called Pitch Car, where you flick cars around a track.  We were to ADD to really finish the game, though.
What a cute couple...
Sitting on the porch, drinking a brew.  Justin was holding it behind his back to hide it from the Po-Po!

Some pretty cute ladies! Me, Charline, Adrienne, and Laura
Yay!
Best Friends!!

Rootin' Tootin' Beach Party at the Peak

We have the best staff in the world!  It truly is a blessing to LOVE the people I work with.  Everyone, from administration to office staff to teachers, we're basically a big family.  At the end of the year, our office manager, Meg, plans a big barbecue for all the staff.  This year was a beach theme.  I think Meg may have missed her calling, she would be an amazing party planner!  She thinks of everything.  There were creative, adorable centerpieces with pictures of all the staff on the beach, a tiki bar, games with "fabulous" prizes, party favors...so much fun!
Here are a few pictures...
Lindsay and Mary!  Cute!
Shawna, Cory ("Dubs") and me!
My team: Stacey, Brittani, Cindy and me!
Lisa and Jenn
Our lovely office ladies, Karlene, Marcia, Debra and Meg!
There was a lot of dancing!  Meg, Charline, and Beau cut it up all proper-like!  Here's Charline showing her moves!

Happy Summer, everyone!!!

Garden 2009

Just a few pics of my garden this year!  I love going crazy with color and texture.  Bringing home all the little baby plants and putting them in my planting bed is kind of like painting to me...

New hibiscus plants!  I have this coral colored one, and also a red one, plus a new peony bush.  I hope they do well!

These dahlias are so awesome!  I love anything different and crazy looking...no boring flowers for me!
Dianthus from last year...they're taking over!
Rocket Red Snapdragons, also from last year.  Brad and Nicole gave them to me, extras from their garden.  They're huge!
More snapdragons.  They come in all kinds of color combinations!
Another one of those cool dahlias.
Portulaca...also in tons of different colors.
These pansies are little bitty ones.
These are big!
Everything is starting to fill in!  I hope my roses start to bloom soon!

Silly Banana Giggles!

Just basically the cutest video ever!
