This past weekend we headed down to Colorado Springs to hang out with my dad. Mom was in San Francisco for a family gathering to honor the one year anniversary of Aunt Blez's passing, so dad was on his own for the weekend. Steve, dad and Keith were playing in a Pro-Am golf tournament on Monday at Kissing Camels, so we decided to go down early to spend some time with dad.
One of the things dad likes to do when we go down is go over to Ft. Carson to the "Army Store," (clothing sales) to check things out with Riley. Sunday on our way in, we stopped at the main gate, where they have a display of vehicles and the Kit Carson Memorial. Dad enjoyed telling Riley and Steve all about the different vehicles, and climbing around on them.
Here, a Cobra helicopter.

A little artsy. I was having fun playing around with the camera.

Riley was having an absolute blast!

The big guy and the little guy!

Riley learned some new vocabulary..."Bustle Rack"

"Turret"

A little tiny tank!

Can you spot the face?

This has got to be one of my all time favorite pictures!

My boys and me!

I kinda really dig this picture.

More artsy stuff...this is the winch of a recovery vehicle.

Wall-E?

Pretty cool afternoon. It's neat to be able to do some unique things!

Tuckered out little boys!

Thanks for a fun weekend, dad!
