Little Sluggers T-Ball

Steve and Troy are coaching Riley, Ty and Tanner's T-ball team this season.  Another adventure in herding cats!  After the first game, I'm thinking it would be nearly impossible to coach this alone!  They did an awesome job.  The kiddos are just way too cute!

Practice:  There is a 1/2 hour practice followed by a 1/2 hour game.
Some throwing and catching practice!  Only two kids got beaned...not bad!
Nice form, Ty!

The safety talk before practicing batting!
A little batting practice!
Play Ball!!

Ty running home!

It looks like Carter is being affectionate towards his big brother, but really he's trying to get his snacks!

Here's video of Riley batting!  He got a double!

Weekend with the General

This past weekend we headed down to Colorado Springs to hang out with my dad.  Mom was in San Francisco for a family gathering to honor the one year anniversary of Aunt Blez's passing, so dad was on his own for the weekend.  Steve, dad and Keith were playing in a Pro-Am golf tournament on Monday at Kissing Camels, so we decided to go down early to spend some time with dad.

One of the things dad likes to do when we go down is go over to Ft. Carson to the "Army Store," (clothing sales) to check things out with Riley.  Sunday on our way in, we stopped at the main gate, where they have a display of vehicles and the Kit Carson Memorial.  Dad enjoyed telling Riley and Steve all about the different vehicles, and climbing around on them.

Here, a Cobra helicopter.

A little artsy.  I was having fun playing around with the camera.
