Andy and Kettie's big guy, Ethan took a spill a few weeks ago and fractured his femur, poor little dude! Today we went down to the Meyer's house to look after Ethan and baby Tyler so Andy and Kets could get a much deserved break. Riley was very good about playing with Ethan "nicely." It must be so frustrating for E-Dog, he's almost 3 and sitting in a body cast for 6 weeks CAN'T be fun! He's doing really well, though, probably better than I would be!

You can see Ethan's cast is pretty crazy in this picture. The fractured leg (with the full-length cast) is connected to the left thigh with a metal bar to stabilize his hips. The top part of the cast goes up almost to his armpits. He's figured out how to crawl around, but pretty much he has to just hang out. What a bummer! One of those kind of "puts things into perspective" deals, for kids AND parents!
