Zoofari!

Riley and I went to the Denver Zoo with Charline today, since the weather wasn't forecast to be Africa hot for a change. Riley was SOOO excited! Last night he had to sleep with all the animals we might be seeing, and he pulled out his crocodile hat to wear especially for the zoo...although now that I think of it, we didn't go into the reptiles and amphibians house! Whoops!Our tour guide checks out the map to decide where to go first.

This peacock came alarmingly close! We think he was coming up to check out Riley's goldfish crackers, whatever it was, he came right up to us without hesitation. As soon as Charline covered the crackers up, he backed off a bit. But Riley was fascinated and a little freaked out, this guy came within a foot of the stroller!
We ran into Riley's buddy, Aedan, with his grandmother. They weren't quite sure what to make of running into each other so unexpectedly!
We fell in love with the baby Snow Leopard, Robby
Riley couldn't wait to see the King of the Jungle! This guy KNOWS he's gorgeous!
We had a great day at the zoo! It was a beautiful day, and not too crowded since it was a weekday. One of the nice perks of having summer break!
All tuckered out! He's got his baby Snow Leopard figurine and his spinny light up thing clutched in his hands!
